ERO Review Preparation
Strategic, AI-driven evaluation prep, workflows, and school systems
Dr Craig Hansen helps New Zealand school boards, principals, and leadership teams leverage secure, culturally responsive AI workflows to prepare for Education Review Office (ERO) visits. By shifting focus from reactive administrative compliance to proactive, data-informed self-review, we build school conditions that lead directly to learning success.
📈 Shift Your Performance Ratings Under ERO’s New School Reports:
ERO’s rigorous framework evaluates schools and boards across four direct performance judgements. Craig’s specialized systems and RAG workflows are engineered to move your school out of Improvement Required up into Doing Well and Excelling:

Targeting ERO’s Core Indicators with Culturally Responsive AI
Our collaborative programmes build structured dashboard capabilities to provide school boards and teaching teams with reliable, standardised evidence. This directly targets the key domains analysed during an ERO evaluation:
📊 Student Achievement & Progress
The Challenge: Schools are frequently marked “Improvement Required” for slow rates of progress or persistent learning gaps.
The Solution: We deploy secure AI data processors that automatically analyse interim student achievement, e-asTTle, and PAT results against annual plans, identifying specific cohorts and next steps in minutes.
🏫 Curriculum, Reading & Mathematics
The Challenge: Adapting programmes to fit the refreshed NZ Curriculum (Te Mātaiaho) while struggling with teacher planning workloads.
The Solution: Teachers use custom-built planning assistants to map explicit lessons, construct rubric markers, and design differentiated tasks with perfect Universal Design for Learning (UDL) scaffolding.
🌿 Culturally Responsive & Inclusive Environments
The Challenge: Ensuring equitable outcomes, particularly for Māori boys, and addressing school belonging with insufficient targeted support.
The Solution: We co-design inclusive frameworks that leverage local context-specific prompts and community inputs to build classrooms focused on genuine inclusion.
🛡️ Governance & Strategic Monitoring
The Challenge: School boards failing to actively monitor progress against strategic goals, or exposing the school to legal data leaks.
The Solution: We establish secure, corporate-grade sandboxes where student data remains 100% confidential under the Privacy Act 2020, letting boards run instant compliance audits.
